Measurements

Step back into the days of the traditional horse-drawn ice wagon with this fantastic pair of antique hand-forged iron ice tongs. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, this primitive tool was an essential part of daily lift and trasport heavy blocks of ice into wooden kitchen iceboxes.
This piece is authentically blacksmith-crafted with a heavy-duty central pivot rivet guiding two long, sweeping arms that terminate in sharp, inward-curved gripping points. The top is finished with classic, hand-hammered open loop handles.
Featuring a beautiful, naturally aged dark iron finish with a wonderful rustic texture, these tongs make a spectactular primitive wall hanging for a farmhouse kitche, a rustic cabin display, a unqiue bar cart accent, or a great addition to a collection of early American hand tools.
